After several hours of research, it is from a selection of 23 products that I have selected this small list of 5 real best electric razors for women in 2019. You should find your happiness there. My favorite part of this selection is without a doubt the Philips BRL 170/00 electric shaver, which, in my opinion, offers the best value for money with interesting functions and accessories, while having a very fast charging time for good autonomy. A little buying guide is also at the end of the article to understand how to choose an electric shaver for women.

The best cheap female razors
Philips BRL140 : the best cheap
Despite its low price, the Philips BRL 140/00 starts strong in this selection. With its beautiful curves and its very feminine and soft tones, it is visually very attractive.
Its ergonomic handle offers a non-slip grip, which is ideal for a good grip and therefore a shave without worry of any area of the body, while allowing precise movements.
Dry and underwater, thanks to the Wet & Dry technology, this electric shaver has the advantage of being usable in the bath or in the shower, which, in addition to being practical, is very beneficial for your skin, who will say thank you. Indeed, water, as well as gels and soaps, promote the gliding of the device on your skin and thus reduce irritation.
It is perfect for sensitive skin!
However, like any rechargeable device, you must of course not forget to take the charger when you intend to use it several times by mop …
Level features, the floating grid of the shaving head perfectly hugs your curves by swiveling slightly, allowing a perfect shave everywhere.
The beaded teeth on the front and back of the grill make it easy to slip the razor and ensure a shave without scratches, which would certainly ruin the final result.
Included with this razor are 4 accessories that complete this device with, first of all, a hoof mite very useful. It also contains an optimal glide shoe and a tip that allows stretching the skin. These last two, I think, are a little superfluous, especially with the floating gate and the beaded teeth already incorporated in the main head, but we will not complain about receiving “too much” given the price that remains mini.
The last accessory is a convenient pocket to take all this easily with you.
In short, here is a complete razor, with accessories, certainly superfluous, but that is very good work (and not too expensive!).
Philips BRL130: the basic
For a price roughly equivalent, the BRL 130/00 differs visually from the BRL 140/00 only thanks to its soft blue color. For the rest, it also has a very ergonomic shape with an S-shaped handle and a non-slip grip that allow a very easy grip, which simplifies even more shaving.
He also equipped with technology Wet & Dry and wireless. So you can take it wherever you want to make you look good on all occasions. Whether dry, or in the shower, this electric shaver has, just like the BRL140 / 00, a floating grid that allows you to shave accurately and uniformly from all areas of the body without the risk of cutting, thanks to the beaded teeth who ensure a perfect glide.
If you have sensitive skin, the use underwater will suit you perfectly by significantly reducing the irritation of the skin.
That said, a smart charging indicator allows you to anticipate the end of autonomy of this device and avoids many disappointments.
Unlike the 140/00, this electric razor goes to the essential by including only one tip, a cutting shoe, which is sufficient since the other accessories supplied with the BRL 140/00 are, in my opinion, not really useful.
Unfortunately, however, it lacks the small pouch to easily carry this razor with you on the mop. That’s a shame, especially when Philips provides it for the 140/00.
The best mid-range female razors
Philips BRL170: the best midrange
With its look identical to the two previous razors, but this time in purple tones, the BRL 170/00 is the third female electric razor of my selection. Just like the two previous razors, its non-slip S-shaped handle gives you very good maneuverability that allows you to easily shave wherever you want.
This unit does not contain one, but two floating grilles, and promises a shave even more effective than the two previous Philips shavers, perfectly matching the curves of your body while catching significantly more hair than razors with a single grid!
In addition, Philips promises, with this device, an even smoother result with 2 comfort pads that provide a minimum of skin irritation.
Identically to the previous two razors, pearly teeth and safety bars allow, they, greatly reduce scratches, which unfortunately are common when one shaves.
In addition, unlike the previous Philips razor, the BRL 170/00 offers a normal charge in just one hour, but also – especially! – a possibility of fast charging in 5 minutes. Do not panic, then, if you realize that your shaver is unloaded while you urgently need it!
It clearly stands out from the two previous razors on this point, since they need not less than 8 hours of charge for an identical autonomy of one hour. The BRL 170/00 offers a considerable time saving and a peace of mind not insignificant.
In addition, thanks to its charge level indicator you can still anticipate and never run out of battery. Because, otherwise, it will be necessary to wait: it does not work once put in load.
This shaver is sold with 3 accessories that will complete your beauty routine, namely a bikini trimmer head, a bikini comb and a firm skin tip. Philips has also thought of the practical side by including 2 very useful accessories like the protective cap and the cleaning brush, which will guarantee perfect hygiene of your device.
To top it off, Philips has now added a small kit to store the razor and accessories together and carry them easily.
For a price barely higher than the two previous Philips electric razors, the BRL 170/00 is without a doubt my favorite of this selection, standing out clearly from its competitors by its practicality. It is, in my opinion, the best quality/price ratio of this selection.
Braun Silk-épil LS5 – 560: the exfoliating razor
Compared to the models I have presented so far, the Braun Silk Epil stands out directly for its look which, in my eyes, is much less attractive. Indeed, it appears much thinner and it’s handleless curved, which can have an impact on its grip and therefore its maneuverability and ease of shaving, especially for hard to reach areas such as armpits.
Functional levels, it has a rounded head and a floating gate that offer a precision shave even on parts of the body that are not flat. A precision blade, meanwhile, allows a quality shave on the more difficult areas such as underarms and the jersey.
Just like Philips razors, it has rounded teeth that ensure a perfect glide of the device on the skin and therefore reduces irritation.
Its main marketing asset is a vibrating exfoliating accessory that removes dead cells during shaving, all in one pass. I admit, however, not to be completely convinced by this accessory, which, in my opinion, must certainly irritate the most sensitive skin, especially when the exfoliation takes place after shaving, as is the case here.
For me, an exfoliation is ideal before the shave and not after, to prepare the skin and the hairs.
Battery level, this electric shaver is clearly not as efficient as the previous ones, and especially the BRL 170/00, since it takes at least an hour to recharge while offering only 40 minutes of battery life. The 20 minutes of difference autonomy are not insignificant, since they can constitute much more than one complete shave.
It offers one or even fewer days of shaving, for the same load, which is far from anecdotal. However, it is important to note that this device automatically adjusts the voltage to comply with electrical outlets worldwide, which is an advantage.
You will still need to remember the adapter if you change zones.
The coolest is a pouch that allows you to easily collect and slide this razor in your suitcase.
The best high-end women’s shaver
Skull Shaver Pitbull : the best high end
I must admit that this is the first time I see a female electric razor with this unique design. As the name suggests, this razor is Pitbull-shaped, with a large, round-shaped black body, attached to a round blade set that is very similar in configuration to that of male electric razors.
For a price much higher than previous razors, the Skull Shaver stands out not only by its innovative design and ergonomic handle but also by its 5 flexible rotating blades, which allow a perfect shave all over the body, even at the most delicate place.
Indeed, each head has an independent rotation, which ensures an optimal shave, while adapting perfectly to the topography of the shaving area. In addition, thanks to the configuration of its shaving heads, the risk of scratches are frankly negligible.
For an even better finish, it is also advisable to shave with small rotary movements that will increase the efficiency of rotating blades. Its ergonomic handle is easy to handle by marrying the palm of your hand, although it is very different from the handles usually found on razors. A little adaptation time will be, I think, necessary.
To you, then, waxing in the middle of the living room if your heart tells you: no hair to pick up everywhere!
Do not worry, this unit is still very easy to clean, either with the Skull Shaver Rinse Holder sold separately or simply by soaking it in warm water while it is running.
Range autonomy, with its powerful lithium-ion battery, this shaver gives you 90 minutes of shaving, enough to be quiet for several sessions at least. It is the device of this selection with the longest autonomy and it also has a light indicating you the level of charge, to be able to easily anticipate.
With about 2h30 of charging time, it is certainly not the fastest, but it remains far from the 8h charge of the first Philips.
Accessory side, however, nothing is included with this razor. And if you want a specific tip (eyebrow trimmer, nose hair trimmer …) to perfect your beauty routine, you will have to buy it separately. That said, this can allow you to use the same razor with another person, changing the blades each time.
Be careful, however, blade change can be a bit difficult. A hand to take, certainly, but that can save you money!
In the end, this razor is definitely worth trying because it has a serious potential. Its relatively high price must however curb more than one, which will often prefer to fall back on a more classic design.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ELECTRIC SHAVER? BUYER GUIDE
If the manual razor is a popular alternative to waxing or electric epilators, female electric razors are much less used. It is therefore normal that you may not know how to find the one that suits you, depending on your budget.
If a manual razor is chosen mainly by the number of blades, the criteria for selecting an electric razor are somewhat different.
Men and women do not have the same needs in terms of areas to shave or the same skins, so it is important to choose a razor specifically adapted to women.
I also want to clarify that it is here on the shaving function that I looked. But if you are also tempted by hair removal, I invite you to discover my selections of the best electric epilators and the best-pulsed light epilators.
In order to provide a quality shave even in the smallest corners and hard to reach areas, it is important to choose a shaver with a flexible head, which can rotate and adapt to all the curves of your body while limiting the risks of cutting.
Many builders on our list offer for this purpose floating heads that tilt by marrying the shapes of your body thus ensuring a shave quality and uniform.
Just like any beauty device, your choice must be made according to your use, ie areas to be treated but also your beauty routine in general.
Indeed, the Wet & Dry technology offers for example the flexibility to be able to shave dry, but also in the shower or in the bath, which can constitute a considerable gain of time for some, or a real need for others, given their skin sensitivity (use underwater greatly limits skin irritation).
In addition, depending on your needs, it is sometimes wise to buy a razor with specific tips, which adapt to your beauty routine to have a more versatile device possible at your fingertips and thus limit clutter in your bathroom.
Each one his lifestyle and therefore his preferences.
As many shaving women know, shaving irritates the skin. It is, therefore, necessary to choose your electric razor to put the odds on his side to minimize irritation and scratches/cuts.
Many shavers, therefore, offer pivoting heads and specific protections to minimize these disadvantages related to shaving. Also note that razors used under water irritate much less than dry shave, providing hydration at the same time as shaving.
This hydration can even be amplified by the use of gels or soaps. A necessity for the most sensitive skin! It would be a shame to end up with shaved legs but all red.
If most of the electric razors I’ve seen on the market are wireless, and therefore perfect to take them on a mop with you, you should know that they are not all equivalent in terms of their battery life. battery and charging time.
There is already a significant disparity in this area among the 5 integrated battery razors selected above, with a range of 40 to 90 minutes and a charging time that can be ultra fast with only 5 minutes or very long ( 8 hours).
Like any device that works with a battery, however, do not forget the charger and sometimes the adapter for long absences from home.
A practical charge indicator is also often present on the razor to avoid running out of autonomy in the middle of shaving.
Some other electric razors walk on them, which offers the advantage of not having a charger to take with you when one is on the move. It is, therefore, a perfect option for those who travel often provided they do not forget to equip themselves with spare batteries. However, be careful to check the autonomy of the razor with a set of batteries.
Some electric shavers require them, mains, and therefore offer unlimited autonomy at the cost of reduced flexibility in terms of sealing (say goodbye to shaving under water) and freedom of movement.
Logically, the more blades that a razor has, the more effective it will be. As mentioned before, floating shaving grids are ideal for a close and even shave, perfectly matching your curves.
However, be careful that the razor also has protection against cuts and scrapes such as beaded teeth, because who says close shave also says the risk of injury.
There is also another blade configuration, which is more like that of male razors, with up to 5 flexible rotating blades that will make your legs soft as ever while eliminating any risk of scratching.
This latter configuration is much less common for female razors but certainly has potential.
The last criterion to consider is the cleaning of the razor because, as for any personal beauty device, it is necessary that it is easy to clean in order to remain as hygienic as possible. A razor that cleans easily under water with a small brush to remove stuck hair is perfect.
Most razors offer some accessories to complete your beauty routine. Among these, a cutting shoe is very useful and allows to have a device all in one.
A storage pocket is also very convenient to store razor and accessories easily and put all this small equipment in your suitcases.
Faced with two razors of equal effectiveness, it is often these small accessories that tip the scales in favor of one of them.
